(Flint, Michigan, September 11, 2008) Beginning September 25, 2008 the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan will sponsor The Benefits of Blue seminars—a three-part series to show how members can maximize their Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance and potentially lower the cost of health care insurance. All seminars are from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Mott Foundation Conference Room, 519 S. Saginaw St. in downtown Flint. Seminars are free and open to the public.
“The cost of health insurance is perhaps the largest business cost concern of small businesses,” said Stan Blood, Regional Chamber Vice President for Communications/ Marketing/Member Services. “We hope the seminars help business owners large and small discover ways to optimize their coverage and develop strategies for reducing costs.”
Michael Ramsby, of Gadaleto Ramsby and Associates, will conduct the seminars. Gadaleto Ramsby is a managing agent for insurance agents that sell Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance programs.
The first seminar begins on September 25, 2008 with a focus on Strategies to Reduce Premiums in Small Markets. The seminar will highlight the practical strategies employers in small markets are using to help control the rising trends of health care.
On October 16 the HRA, HSA and FSA seminar will explain the Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)—specifically how it can help employers and employees save money!
The November 13th seminar focus: HMO or PPO? See how to differentiate between the care and cost of HMOs and PPOs, as well as the potential the Blue Care HMO program has to cut insurance costs 10-12%.
