Four years ago, I campaigned on a promise to build cooperation among all law enforcement agencies, to serve the public with integrity and ethics, and to work hard every day fighting crime and improving the quality of life for our community. I have followed through on that promise but there is still much more to do and I am ready and prepared to get the job done.

During my first term, there have been tens of thousands of criminal cases successfully prosecuted.  Violent offenders have been convicted and sent away to prison. The end result is safer streets and neighborhoods.

I have fostered cooperation between the Prosecutor’s office and other law enforcement agencies. Such cooperation makes for a more united front in the fight against crime.

The Fatal Alcohol Crash Team, which I formed early on in my administration, recently received a Governor’s Award for improving traffic safety. My “Project Chalkboard” program helps schools address truancy problems and the Bad Check Program has returned more than $1 Million to local merchants.

I created a community liaison position to work full time with local neighborhood block clubs and business associations in the City of Flint to address blight and other quality of life crime issues. We have also had great success with padlocking businesses and houses that have shown a tendency to breed criminal activity including violence, drug dealing, and prostitution.

I am honored to be your Prosecutor and I look forward to even more success in my second term.
